Allen Engineering Contractor, Inc. (AEC), a general engineering contractor, holds A and B licenses and specializes in all aspects of construction including, but not limited to: design/build, anti terrorism force protection (ATFP), heavy civil, new building construction, renovation/restoration, HVAC, electrical, structural concrete, plumbing, fire suppression, land development and demolition. AEC has completed over 1500 projects for various government agencies and continues to build and develop strong relationships with all local, state and federal government agencies. Allen Engineering takes pride in the fact that receiving outstanding performance evaluations and completion of projects ahead of schedule is a company standard.
AEC owns major equipment resources with qualified equipment operators required to perform all types of projects. AEC maintains the following equipment: excavators, rough terrain cranes, backhoes, bulldozers, vibratory compactors, rollers, trench boxes, well point systems, blades, forklifts, boom lifts, tractor trailers, dump trucks, concrete forms, pumps, utility locating devices as well as other various equipment resources.
AEC has the capability to perform most trades in-house allowing the company to self-perform 60-100% of a projects' work scope including all project management, site supervision, quality control and safety management. AEC maintains a bonding capacity of $30M per project/$125M aggregate. |
Allen Engineering Contractor, Inc. utilizes a fully computerized system of construction software including Niche Bid2Win and Pulsar estimating software to ensure proposals and estimates are complete. Allen Engineering’s use of Autocad and AGTEK 3D Takeoff (Earthwork 3D, SiteModel 3D, Materials 3D, and Highway 3D) ensure accurate and detailed data. The accounting department utilizes AccuBuild Construction software to meet reporting requirements. These programs and systems are designed and maintained to meet the specific needs and demands of the government and construction industry.
AEC provides training and staff development on a continual basis. All project managers and superintendents receive OSHA 10-Hour, OSHA 30-Hour, EM 385-1-1 40-hour, USACE Construction Quality Control for Contractors certification, first aid and CPR training as well as additional training such as fall protection, confined space and forklift operator certification.
The AEC team is well versed within the area of anti terrorism force protection. Roger Tate, President, received Anti Terrorism Force Protection Training certifications from the Naval Service Center, Security Engineering Division in March 2005. The company's project managers have completed the 2004 DoD Minimum AT Standards for Buildings UFC 4-010-01.
